Before you have the actual party you will need some Halloween party tips for kids in the kitchen. These Halloween party tips will help you and your kids with the food preparation.
The kids have begged to have a Halloween party for forty of their closest friends. Sounds like fun but who will do all the cooking? With a few Halloween party tips for food preparation the kids can whip the food out in no time at all and maybe even leave the kitchen looking less like Frankenstein’s lab than you had feared.
Here are the tips:
- Before the kids even begin cooking make sure they have all the recipes and ingredients needed. It is very frustrating to get started and find out you are missing the lime sherbet for the witches face and the hot dogs for the decorate-the-hot-dog-to-look-like-a-ghoul main dish.
- Find out if the kids are old enough to do the cooking by themselves or if they will need an adult assistant.
- When you begin cooking remember to be safe. Raw meat and eggs can contain harmful bacteria. Everyone should wash their hands before beginning and after handling any raw food. Dishes that held raw meat should also be washed before using again.
- Make sure any fruits and vegetables are washed before you cook or serve them raw. Keep all foods in the refrigerator until you need to cook with them.
- Keep the handles of pots and pans turned to the back of the stove. This way they are not so likely to be knocked off the stove. Use potholders when handling anything that is hot.
These Halloween party tips should help you and the kids prepare the party food in a safe manner.
