Everyone can have hair-raising fun at your kid’s Halloween party with games designed to make the most of the holiday’s scary, creepy traditions. Here are some kids Halloween party games that are fun for kids of all ages.

  1. For the autopsy game, draw a body outline on the ground. Let the children choose vegetables to lay in the outline to represent organs. Then cover the whole thing with a big layer of plastic with slits cut in it, and let them feel around inside the ‘body.’ Cooked or peeled vegetables will give a slimier, more disgusting feel, which, of course, the children will love.
  2. For the candy balloon relay, put a piece of candy in a balloon, and blow it up. Make one of these for each child in the game. The object is to race to a target, sit on the balloon until pops (bouncing may be necessary), take the candy, and race back. The first team to pop all of the balloons, wins.
  3. Why bob for apples, when you can bob for worms? Put gummy worms in a pie plate, one for each child, and cover them with whipped cream. Have the children retrieve all the worms using only their mouths.
  4. For Murder, or Wink, have the children at your kid’s Halloween Party draw slips of paper. Each paper will say ‘victim,’ except for one marked ‘murderer.’ The children then sit in a circle, and the murderer must discreetly try to murder the victims by winking at them. The victim should then fall over dead — the more theatrics, the better. A ‘witness’ is any player who sees the wink, and calls out ‘witness.’ The witness is declared the winner, and a new round can begin.
