Easy Halloween Crafts

Creative and Easy Halloween Fun

It’s amazing to see how a few household items can be transformed to creepy, spooky and entertaining Halloween crafts. With some basic ideas and a little bit of patience, you and your children can create a haunted house to remember with easy Halloween crafts!

Most everyone has an egg carton in the house. Here is an easy plan to see that dull carton turn into 12 crazy spiders: simply cut the carton into 12 sections, using each egg section as one portion. Paint the sections black, using a basic poster paint. Once the paint is dry, you can punch holes. With a paper clip, punch 4 small holes on each side of the newly cut portion. Take black pipe cleaners and make your 8 spider legs. You can either paint spider eyes or use the moving craft eyes available everywhere. Easy Halloween crafts add that personal flare to your decorations!

Another fun project is made with wire hangers and old hosiery. Hangers can be bent into free-form ghost shapes quite easily. Cut up some old hosiery and stretch it to cover the perimeter of the hanger. Just glue it on (wrap gently around the edges) and let it dry. Once it is dry, you can paint it white and detail it with spooky ghost faces. These ghosts make wonderful hanging decorations.

Children love to decorate food and there are so many easy Halloween themes to choose from. Bake a cake and have the kids help you scoop out a round hole right in the center. Frost the cake carefully with chocolate frosting. Then crush chocolate cookies and fill the hole part of the way with the crushed ‘dirt’. Throw some candy bugs and worms in, and you have a very gross cake!
