Sweet and Sexy Last Minute Halloween Costumes For Ladies

If the last week in October has crept up and you don’t have a fabulous Halloween costume hanging in the closet to wear on your date, it’s time to put it in gear and get moving. Before you take another step, repeat after me, “I will never wait till the last minute to come up with an idea for a Halloween costume.”

We can’t roll back the clock to the first of September but we refuse to settle for anything less than fabulous. At this stage of the game, you might think that the main objective is a decent outfit that is not laughable and didn’t come off of the shelf at the local discount store. Don’t give up, here are some ideas for costumes that are sexy and that won’t look cheesy like cheap store bought outfits. You might have to do some shopping for some of the elements of your costume, but I would go as the New Year’s Baby before I’d buy a costume off the rack.

Here are some creative ideas for last minute Halloween costumes for ladies that are quick and easy to put together. You can take some of our ideas and add lots of sex appeal, but how many sexy details you want to add is entirely up to you.

LET’S PLAY DOCTOR

Do you have a friend that’s a nurse that might let you borrow one of her uniforms? Not a set of scrubs, (although they would do in an extreme pinch) what we are looking for is a traditional white nurse’s uniform with a stiff starched nurse’s cap. Stethoscopes, thermometers and tongue depressors tucked into the pockets would add to the look. If you have permission to hem the uniform and convert it into a mini-skirt, thigh high stockings and heels as high as you can stand them are a nice touch.

RIDE EM COWGIRL

A quick and easy Halloween costume made up of a pair of old cowboy boots, a hat, a flannel shirt and jeans will get you in the door of any party. If you can come up with a pair of spurs, chaps and a bullwhip, more the better. Crack that whip and get ready to ride, cowgirl!

DO YOU WANT TO BUY SOME COOKIES?

Pull your Girl Scout sash with all your hard earned badges out of the drawer along with your beanie hat. Go buy a brown or green uniform style dress, sensible shoes and grab a box of cookies on your way out the door.

PIROUETTE YOUR WAY INTO THE PARTY

Dash out and buy a leotard, some tights, and ballet slippers and make a tutu out of some sheer net and a length of elastic. Pull your hair into a tight knot circled with some flowers. Nobody will know that it was a last minute Halloween costume thrown together for a few bucks.

QUICK and EASY CRUELLA DeVILLE

The little black dress never looked so evil as on wicked Cruella DeVille and we want a piece of that action! Pick up a black and white wig and granny’s vintage fur stole (if you can find a ratty white one, paint some Dalmatian like spots on it) that comes just to the top of dramatic opera length gloves. Twitch on a pair of black hose and high heels and put a cigarette in a long cigarette holder and you’re on your way!

There are many ways to take everyday clothing, uniforms and props and turn them into fabulous last minute costumes. Dig in the closet, the armoire and the trunk in the attic and don’t settle for anything less than fantastic.
