Halloween costumes for groups lend a unique angle to an already expressive time. With options ranging from powerful and moving to all-out hilarious, there are group costumes available for just about any group of individuals.

There are groups that dress as cattle, as sports teams, and as the cast from a hit movie.  There are a huge variety of options within the cohesiveness of Halloween costumes for groups.  For example, as you think of everyday objects or ideas that are classified into groups, certain possibilities will come to mind. Costumes could emulate a deck of cards, a rock band, characters portrayed together in a book, movie or television show. You could create wonderful themed costumes based on road signs or perhaps holiday motifs (birthday cakes, candles, presents). With a little imagination just about any group Halloween costumes can be agreed up and created.

Additionally, keep your costumes short enough so that tripping over the fabric can be avoided.

It is also important to remember to have fresh batteries in your flashlight, and to remind your children never to step into someone’s home while trick or treating. Candy needs to be checked by an adult before children enjoy it, and pets should always wear their identification tags.

With a little bit of caution, Halloween can be a safe and rewarding experience for everyone.

First you need to come up with an idea. If your little one is small enough that you have to carry him around, dress him up as a dummy and you be the ventriloquist. A little suit and tie with some hinges painted around his lips with non-toxic paint should do the trick. You wouldn’t even need to add anything for your own costume. You could simply be yourself with a talking doll.

Another idea is Dr. Evil and Mini Me, from the Austin Powers movies. Of course you shouldn’t really shave your head but you can find the fake bald heads in most novelty shops. If you are unable to find one, then you might just use a swimming cap. The clothing should be easy to mimic, and again, if you can’t find something in the store you can always make it.

Whichever of these adults and children Halloween costumes you go with, or if you come up with your own, just be sure to have fun with your child. Make it a bonding experience and a Halloween to remember for years to come.

If you are lucky enough to have the right size family then it’s sure to be great fun for you to have a family costume. Don’t forget any of the nine main characters, Gomez and Morticia, Wednesday and Pugsley, Grandmama Addams, Uncle Fester, Lurch, Cousin Itt, and last but not least, Thing. Be creative with Thing, surely you don’t have a family member willing to dress as a hand, or maybe you do, whatever works. All of these should be relatively easy costumes to put together on your own with some thrift store finds and some basic makeup. Just make the whole thing a family affair and have some fun together.

Give all of your guests a costume assignment so that you have a good mix of Morticia’s, Gomez’s, and the rest of the gang. Have a contest in each category, most authentic Wednesday, most creative Pugsley, sexiest Morticia, you get the idea. It should be easy to come up with plenty of catchy ideas for your Addams Family affair. Just be creative and have fun.
